FAQ's

What services do you offer?

I offer photography services for weddings, elopements, engagements, family, maternity and branding headshots.  

Where are you located?

I'm based in sunny San Diego, California!

How do I book a session? Can you hold my date?

Dates are booked with a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer.  To be fair to all potential couples and families, I can not hold your date, without either.

How far out do you book?

Photo sessions are typically booked 3 weeks to a couple months out.  Weddings are booked anywhere from 9  to 14 months in advance. 

What is your photography style?

My photography style combines a candid and editorial approach to capture all your special moments.  My images are a mix between light and airy; I crave dreamy, soft, organic images that are created with the sun as my preferred light source.  

 

What time of day is best for photography?

A majority of my photo sessions take place around sunset (also referred to as "golden hour").  The light is soft and diffused around this time, creating the perfect set up for photos.   

We are kind of awkward in front of the camera.  Do you give direction and posing advice?

Of course!  In fact, I hear this often.  I will be walking you through every step of the way.  My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident and have fun at the same time. BE in the moment and you will be pro's by the end of each session.   

Do you offer mini sessions?

Photo coverage starts at 1 hour.  Please fill out the contact form, or email me for rates and more info.

When can we expect to see our photos?

Lifestyle sessions are ready between 2 and 4 weeks.  Weddings between 4 and 15 weeks (busy seasons may vary).  

How are the photos delivered?

They are delivered digitally through an online gallery.  

Do you provide color adjustments and retouching to the photos?

Yes!  All images are shot digitally.  They are high resolution, colored corrected photos. 

What if the weather is bad on our scheduled shoot?

San Diego has some of the most beautiful weather (year round), but it's imminent that weather may not always work in our favor.  Spring and summer months bring in cloudy, overcast and sometimes rainy days by the coast.  The best way to combat bad weather is to plan ahead and communicate with your photographer.  I do not charge a penalty for weather related reschedules. 

Can we have the RAW, unedited version of the images?

No, I do not offer RAW, or unedited images.  Editing is half the process that goes into the final product.  Photo editing sets my unique style and brand apart from others.  RAW files also need to be edited with a professional editing software. 

Do you photograph events like birthday parties, bridal showers or family reunions?

At this time, I don't photograph events outside of weddings, but I do love to attend them!

How many hours of wedding photography coverage do you suggest?

I believe your day should be fully documented, beginning to end, to create your unique wedding story.  A majority of couples book 8 hours, typically starting between 12-2pm and finishing between 8-10pm.

Do you offer wedding videography?

I don't, but have worked with many awesome wedding videographers over the years.  I'd be happy to send over recommendations! 

Do you have liability insurance?

You bet!  Most venues these days require a copy of insurance.  I   carry business and liability insurance and can provide a COI upon request.  

Will you travel to photograph my wedding, or elopement?

YES!  I love any opportunity to travel and photograph in a new location.  Please inquire for travel rates.
